IF ONLY !!
It’s morning…IF ONLY it were evening; I still have this whole day to go through.
I’m older…IF ONLY I were younger…
I’m running out of energy…IF ONLY I could be fit and strong…
I have to go to work…IF ONLY I could retire…
I’m not working…IF ONLY I had a job…
I’m single…IF ONLY I was MARRIED…
I’m married…IF ONLY I was SINGLE…
I don’t have children…IF ONLY I could have a baby…
I have children…IF ONLY they would grow up and get out of this HOUSE!
IF ONLY I had a house…IF ONLY someone would clean this house !!!
And so it goes.
This is as OLD and as FRESH as Deuteronomy 28:67…
In the morning you shall say,
WOULD IT WERE EVENING!
and at evening you will say,
WOULD IT WERE MORNING!
because of the anxiety of your heart…
The first 13 verses of this chapter tells us how blessed we are when we walk DAILY with GOD; the rest of the chapter is full of screen shots of our days when we don’t.
HOW DO WE CHANGE FROM THE SECOND PART TO THE FIRST PART of Deuteronomy 28 ??
